Job description

Looking to shape strategic partnerships and drive sales growth in the retail sector? As the Account Executive for Retail Big Box at Spectrum, you will build and maintain relationships with our retailer portfolio, ensuring the Spectrum brand is represented while maximizing sales opportunities. Your expertise will directly influence the daily execution of retail territory operations, making a measurable impact on both customer experience and business performance. 


How You’ll Make an Impact  

  • Manage daily relationships with retail partners and vendors to maximize sales and uphold the Spectrum brand 
  • Execute strategic plans and field sales operations across Big Box Retailers and third-party vendors selling Spectrum services 
  • Provide account management through audits, field visits, training, business reviews, product support, and merchandising 
  • Conduct regular meetings and training with partners to ensure they meet quality standards and achieve sales goals 
  • Maintain up-to-date product and promotion knowledge and deliver this information to assigned partners 
  • Collaborate with operations, strategy, and divisional teams to align with Spectrum’s objectives 
  • Coordinate special events, oversee staffing and merchandising, and assist in sales execution 
  • Analyze sales metrics, report findings to leadership, and develop strategies to enhance partner performance 
  • Prospect new business opportunities and support partners in driving incremental sales 

Working Conditions 

  • Spend 20 percent of your time in the office and 80 percent in the field, making weekly visits to partners and retail locations 
  • Participate in occasional division-wide travel 

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum 

Required Qualifications 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience 

Experience 

  • 5-7+ years of related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience 

Skills 

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English 
  • Effective sales presentation abilities and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong organizational skills and initiative 
  • Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities 
  • Capacity to work independently 
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 
  • Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory 
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate retail hours and maximize sales opportunities 
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Valid State driver’s license and safe driving record
