At Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, we are committed to paving the way for everyone to achieve their healthiest life. We are looking for dedicated and motivated individuals who share our vision of transforming healthcare. As a Blue Cross associate, you are joining a culture that is built on values of succeeding together, finding a better way, and doing the right thing. If you are ready to make a difference, join us.
The Impact You Will Have
In this role, the Executive Recruiting Manager will have the opportunity to shape the future leadership of the organization by leading executive recruitment for some of our most important and high-impact roles. As the in-house executive talent acquisition recruiter, you will own end-to-end searches for senior leadership positions and play a key role in building the talent pipelines that support long-term business success.
You will work closely with executives, senior leaders and HR business partners to define talent needs, develop search strategies, directly engage executive talent, and guide selection decisions with insight and credibility. This is a highly consultative, hands-on role for someone who brings strong market perspective, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, high-visibility environment.
Success in this role comes from identifying exceptional leadership talent, building trust with stakeholders and candidates, and delivering a thoughtful, high-quality search experience from initial strategy through hire.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead executive recruitment for critical senior-level positions across the organization
  • Build and sustain executive talent pipelines to support current and future leadership hiring need
  • Evaluate executive talent and develop recommendations that inform selection decisions
  • Align executive hiring priorities with business needs and organizational objectives through partnership with senior leaders, HR, and key stakeholders
  • Provide trusted executive hiring counsel by applying market perspective, professional judgment, and discretion to high-impact talent decisions
  • Leading end-to-end executive searches focused primarily on C-suite, Vice President, and Senior Director roles from strategy through offer and onboarding
  • Building and executing sourcing strategies that identify and engage senior leadership talent through research, outreach, referrals, and networking
  • Developing talent maps, target company lists, and market insights to guide search strategy and inform hiring decisions
  • Partnering with senior leaders and HR to define role expectations, align on candidate profiles, and provide perspective throughout the search process
  • Assessing executive candidates for leadership capability, functional expertise, and organizational fit while effectively positioning the opportunity in the market
  • Delivering a high-touch experience for candidates and stakeholders through clear communication, strong process management, and thoughtful offer development
  • Facilitating weekly updates to stakeholders, pre/post interview debriefs, candidate preparation meetings and offer negotiations
  • Engaging external assessment vendors and third-party search partners selectively, when needed, to support specific executive searches

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 7+ years of related work experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • 10+ years of executive search experience in a corporate, search firm, or blended environment, including end-to-end leadership searches and advising senior leaders on search strategy, candidate assessment, and selection decisions.
  • Strength in executive talent market mapping, talent pipelining, and targeted sourcing strategy development.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee and candidate information confidentially and comply with applicable privacy, confidentiality, and data protection requirements.
  • Executive recruiting experience in healthcare, insurance, or other highly regulated environments.
