Job description

About Block Renovation
Block Renovation is rebuilding the $500B+ renovation industry. We've built a nationwide platform that connects homeowners and business owners with high-quality contractors and brings transparency, predictability, and scalability to home renovation. Our mission is simple but ambitious: empower millions of homeowners and business owners to create spaces they love while helping thousands of contractors build thriving businesses. We are a fast-growing, technology-enabled marketplace operating across the U.S., and we're just getting started.
The Role
Block is seeking an experienced, consultative Account Executive to join our team as a Project Planner. This is a full-cycle sales role. You will own the customer journey from initial qualification through signed construction agreement, guiding property owners through one of the largest financial and emotional investments they will make. As a Project Planner, you act as a trusted advisor, aligning scope, budget, and contractor fit, while driving urgency and confidence to close high-value renovation projects.
What You'll Do
Own Your Renovation Pipeline
  • Manage an inbound pipeline from initial consultation through signed agreement
  • Guide homeowners and business owners through renovation planning, contractor matching, and proposal review
  • Facilitate bid leveling, scope alignment, and negotiation conversations
  • Consistently work toward and exceed quarterly revenue targets

Guide Homeowners Through the Process
  • Understand each property owner's goals, budget, and timeline
  • Provide clear, structured guidance on pricing, scope options, and contractor fit
  • Address common objections related to cost, trust, and renovation uncertainty
  • Deliver a responsive, confidence-building experience throughout the sales journey

Collaborate to Drive Strong Outcomes
  • Partner with Block's contractor network to ensure proposals are clear and competitive
  • Prioritize pipeline effectively to maintain steady deal progression
  • Maintain accurate CRM updates and forecasting hygiene
  • Share feedback with leadership to improve the customer experience

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of consultative sales experience
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue quotas
  • Experience managing complex sales involving multiple stakeholders
  • Comfort with reaching out to cold leads through multiple communications channels (phone, email, text etc.)
  • Advanced time management skills with the ability to multitask through a high volume of relationships / initiatives at the same time
  • Customer-first mindset and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional organization and pipeline management skills
  • Comfort working evenings and some weekends to support property owners

Preferred: Experience in home services, construction, real estate, or marketplace environments. Familiarity with Salesforce and Outreach. Ability to work on-site in our Brooklyn office.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Uncapped commission
  • Equity in an early-stage, high-growth company
  • Hybrid flexibility + "work from anywhere" time
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with match
  • 12 weeks fully paid family leave
  • PTO + learning & development stipend
