 Supply Chain & Material Planning Intern

Internship Overview

The Supply Chain & Material Planning Intern will support the Materials and Production Planning team by assisting with inventory management, production scheduling, supplier communications, and data analysis activities. This internship offers valuable exposure to supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment and provides opportunities to develop analytical, problem-solving, and operational planning skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with production scheduling and material planning activities.

  • Support inventory management efforts to ensure uninterrupted production.

  • Monitor material shortages and help coordinate replenishment activities.

  • Work with suppliers to track deliveries and support supply continuity.

  • Assist with analyzing supplier performance, delivery metrics, and inventory data.

  • Support reporting and data analysis using Excel and ERP systems.

  • Participate in production floor, warehouse, and inventory audits.

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, warehouse, and scheduling teams to address operational challenges.

  • Help maintain accurate planning, inventory, and supplier records.

  • Assist with new product launches, engineering changes, and material transition projects.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and delivery performance.

  • Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in:

    • Supply Chain Management

    • Business Administration

    • Industrial Technology

    • Operations Management

    • Logistics

    • Engineering

    • Or a related field

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

 

  • Preferred

  • Experience with Excel Pivot Tables and data analysis tools.

  • Coursework or exposure to Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, or Production Planning.

  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems.

  • Interest in manufacturing, operations, or logistics careers.
