Role Description

The EPM serves as a senior planning professional responsible for managing the early stages of event planning and supporting the overall planning workflow at One Boss Hospitality. This role bridges the gap between sales and event execution by organizing the planning foundation for each event and remain with the client event day through the crucial parts to guarantee a solid execution.


Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Planning Manager supports the sales process, conducts early planning meetings, organizes event logistics, and ensures each department involved has the correct information.


The Planning Manager also serves as the primary planner for Carnation Farms, one of the companyโ€™s key venue partnerships, ensuring consistency and quality across events at that property.

This role is essential to supporting the volume of events managed by One Boss Hospitality while maintaining a high level of organization, communication, and client experience.


Core Responsibilities

Planning Administration & Event Setup

  • Manage the early planning stages of newly booked weddings and corporate events.
  • Conduct initial planning meetings with clients after contracts are signed and catering has been selected.
  • Build the foundational structure of the event including timelines, logistics, and planning milestones.
  • Ensure planning documentation is organized and complete prior to event day.
  • Managing planner expectations, workflow and scheduling across multiple events through scheduling and checkpoints.
  • Managing planner responsibilities for Carnation Farms

Client Communication & Planning Coordination

  • Introduce clients to the planning process following the sales phase.
  • Guide couples and clients through the early planning stages and planning expectations.
  • Respond to client communication and maintain consistent planning updates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the companyโ€™s planning systems and software.

Carnation Farms Venue Planning

  • Serve as the primary planner for events held at Carnation Farms.
  • Manage planning timelines and coordination specific to this venue.
  • Manage consistent planning standards for all events at the property.
  • Collaborate with venue staff and vendors to support seamless event execution.

Sales Support & Venue Tours

  • Assist Sales with venue tours when needed.
