Job description

About VSCO
VSCO (pronounced vis-co) is a complete photography platform-editing tools, portfolio sites, client workflows, and community-that helps photographers hone their craft, grow their network, and build a photography business on their terms.
VSCO is where photographers turn pro. Whether they're landing their first paid gig or growing an established practice, VSCO champions photographers at every stage of the journey. Our mission is simple: to close the gap between the creative life photographers want and the confidence, tools, and community they need to make it real.
We are looking for people who are driven and demonstrate initiative in taking our company mission to the next level. Employees here have the opportunity to make a big impact, and we believe that when we build together, we achieve stronger outcomes than we could alone.
Our values are critical pillars to our team culture and shape the way we hire. Read more about what you can expect when working at VSCO on our Careers Page.
About You
We're looking for an Executive Operations Lead to support our CEO and leadership team across a wide range of operational and strategic work. This is a senior, generalist role suited to someone who is highly organized, exercises good judgment, and is comfortable stepping into whatever the business needs without waiting to be asked.
You'll partner closely with the CEO to drive day-to-day operations, optimize how leadership spends time, and help the company run more effectively at every level. You'll flex across executive operations, internal communications, culture, events, and special projects. This role reports to the CEO and offers direct access to the executive leadership team and Board of Directors. For the right person, it's an opportunity to learn about building successful companies, contribute meaningfully to the business, and grow your broader leadership skills.
This role is based out of our San Francisco, CA office (minimum 3 days/week).
The Day-to-Day
Executive Support & CEO Partnership
  • Partner directly with the CEO to manage priorities, key initiatives and align on the highest-impact work
  • Act as a thought partner bringing structure, clarity, and judgment to complex situations
  • Proactively identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve leadership operations

Calendar, Travel & Logistics
  • Own complex calendaring across internal and external stakeholders
  • Anticipate conflicts, optimize scheduling, and protect focus time
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, itineraries, and logistics
  • Manage expenses and operational details with precision

Executive Team Collaboration
  • Maintain close alignment with the Chief of Staff on priorities, planning, and execution
  • Build strong relationships with the executive leadership team to support key initiatives
  • Provide ad hoc support to executives as needed, ensuring alignment across leadership

Office, Culture, & Events
  • Own the in-office experience in San Francisco and help foster a creative, energizing and organized environment
  • Plan and support team events ranging from casual gatherings to major company milestones, including executive offsites and Board of Directors meetings, team-building, product launches, and workshops
  • Coordinate All Hands meetings, including logistics and speaker prep
  • Support onboarding for new hires and create a strong in-person experience for visiting candidates
  • Manage VSCO swag inventory, including distribution, tracking, and reordering

Operations & Administrative Support
  • Act as a professional point of contact for internal and external communications
  • Support cross-functional projects aligned with company goals and vision
  • Manage on-site meetings, including catering, dinners, and offsite activities

Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of experience supporting C-suite executives or senior leadership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Proven ability to operate as a high-autonomy generalist in fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Sharp problem-solving instincts with a bias toward action
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ); diplomatic, thoughtful, and confident
  • Professional, polished communicator-both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and constantly shifting priorities
  • A genuine appreciation for creativity, photography, or the arts

What Makes You Stand Out
  • You act like an owner, not a task-taker
  • You anticipate needs before they're articulated
  • You're equally comfortable in strategy conversations and execution details
  • You step outside your lane when needed and fill gaps proactively
  • You bring structure to chaos and momentum to stuck problems
  • You genuinely care about helping leaders and teams do their best work

Why VSCO?
We value the creative process and our employees' opinions - input is encouraged, regardless of your position or title. We want to work with people who are driven and demonstrate initiative in taking our mission to the next level.
We believe in building a safe place for creative expression and celebrating that which makes us human, welcoming unique and personal backgrounds and experiences. We're proud to foster diverse perspectives within VSCO as we continue to build an inclusive culture.
