Position Summary
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Account Executive to join our Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and closing new business opportunities with public sector organizations, such as cities and counties, for our SaaS software solutions.
The ideal candidate is a high-energy, adaptable, open, honest, and clear communicator who strives for excellence in every aspect of the sales process. They are self-motivated, with a proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and drive revenue growth.
The Account Executive reports to the Sales Director.
Responsibilities
The following list outlines key responsibilities and day-to-day activities associated with this role. While it's not an exhaustive list, it should give you a strong sense of what to expect.   • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed revenue targets for the assigned territory.
  • Identify, target, and build relationships with key decision-makers within public sector organizations.
  • Conduct in-depth needs analysis to understand the specific challenges and objectives of prospective customers.
  • Lead the sales process from prospecting to contract negotiations, ensuring a consultative approach.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product and marketing, to tailor solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM software (Salesforce).
  • Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals and contribute to the overall growth of Avolve Software.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities in the Govtech space.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales, preferably within the SaaS or Govtech sectors.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and successfully closing large-scale deals in the public sector.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Experience with Salesforce and other CRM tools for managing sales pipelines and customer interactions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment and manage time effectively across multiple opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience selling software solutions to cities, counties, or other public entities.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies such as SPIN Selling or Challenger Sales.

Compensation:
  • $180k-$220k On Target Earnings ($100,000 to $120,000base salary with potential to earn $90,000 to $110,000 in variable incentive compensation)
  • Salary will be adjusted based on geographic location
