Lead Translator & Executive Liaison (Mandarin / English)

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Translator & Executive Communications Liaison to serve as a critical language, communication, and trust bridge for our CEO and executive leadership team.

Job Summary

This role goes beyond traditional translation. The Lead Translator & Executive Communications Liaison will act as a trusted communicator, executive liaison, and confidential support partner to the CEO, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and cultural fluency in all high-level communications.

In addition to translating spoken and written Mandarin and English communications, this individual will function as a strategic extension of the CEO, assisting with executive correspondence, sensitive conversations, meeting preparation, and real-time interpretation of intent, tone, and context. Discretion, sound judgment, and emotional intelligence are essential.

This position requires exceptional linguistic ability, cultural intelligence, and the confidence to operate closely with executive leadership in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & CEO Support
  • Serve as a primary linguistic and communication partner to the CEO, supporting executive meetings, private discussions, and sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

  • Act as a trusted intermediary and confidant, ensuring messages are accurately conveyed in language, tone, and intent across cultures.

  • Assist the CEO with executive-level communications, including drafting, reviewing, and translating correspondence, talking points, presentations, and internal messages.Support meeting preparation by reviewing agendas, briefing materials, and follow-up communications.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive business, personal, or strategic information.

Translation & Interpretation

  • Interpret verbal communications during executive meetings, conferences, negotiations, and presentations across departments.

  • Translate written materials including contracts, reports, internal communications, and executive correspondence with precision and cultural relevance.

  • Ensure accuracy while adapting content to align with cultural, business, and organizational contexts.

  • Proofread and edit translated materials to maintain consistency, tone, and professional quality.

Cross-Functional & Organizational Support

  • Provide translation and localization support to cross-functional teams as needed.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between leadership intent and execution.

  • Support localization efforts and content adaptation for global markets, particularly in gaming, technology, and entertainment

Qualifications & Skills
  • Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives or CEOs in a translation, executive liaison, or communications role.

  • High level of discretion, trustworthiness, and emotional intelligence.

  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.

  • Flexible schedule with availability for extended hours, international travel, and time-zone-spanning communications.

  • Translation or interpretation experience in business, gaming, technology, or media environments preferred.

  • Degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field (preferred).

  • Strong cultural awareness and ability to navigate nuanced interpersonal dynamics

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.

  • Strong interpersonal presence, confidence, and adaptability in executive-level settings.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
