Summary:

Located in the heart of Napa Valley, Alila blends luxury, sustainability, and a genuine sense of care. We are seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Wedding & Social Event Sales Manager to lead the sales and servicing of weddings and social events at our luxury, adults-focused resort. This role is responsible for generating new business, cultivating client relationships, and delivering exceptional, personalized experiences for weddings and social celebrations from initial inquiry through execution.
This individual will serve as a key ambassador of the Alila brand-bringing creativity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of luxury service to every event while maximizing revenue and ensuring operational excellence. This position is on site and is based in St. Helena, California.
The expected salary range Alila Napa Valley reasonably expects to pay for this position is $72,000 - $90,000.
Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively solicit and secure wedding and social event business (including celebrations, milestone events, buyouts, and special gatherings)
  • Manage all incoming inquiries, site tours, and proposals with a high-touch, consultative sales approach
  • Develop creative, tailored event concepts aligned with the Alila Napa Valley experience
  • Partner with marketing to support promotional strategies, partnerships, and local outreach opportunities
  • Achieve and exceed sales goals through strategic prospecting and group lead conversion
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of weddings and social events , from contract to execution
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a seamless and personalized planning experience
  • Collaborate with culinary, operations, and third-party vendors to execute flawless events
  • Manage timelines, GDR (BEO), and event details with precision and attention to detail
  • Ensure all events reflect Alila's luxury positioning and service standards
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients, planners, and local partners
  • Deliver an elevated level of personalized service consistent with luxury hospitality expectations
  • Anticipate client needs and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
  • Generate repeat and referral business through exceptional service delivery
Qualifications:
What You Bring
  • 3-5 years of previous wedding and social event sales and servicing experience, ideally within a luxury hotel or resort environment
  • Proven ability to sell, plan, and execute weddings and upscale social events
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for luxury hospitality, guest experience, and storytelling through events
  • Knowledge of Napa Valley or luxury destination markets is a plus
