Barbier Security Group (BSG) is currently seeking to hire Temporary Event Security Officers for our client's important and popular fundraising event in Yountville, CA.
Event Dates: July 30th through August 2nd, 2026.
Applicants must have weekend availability and be able to pick up at least 2-3 shifts during this event. This event is perfect for students, or those who are looking for extra income. We are seeking presentable, strong communicators to help secure both equipment and provide safety to event attendees, while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Shifts: Hiring for all shifts: Mornings, Swings & Graves
Hourly rate: $32 per hour
Preferring candidates with the following availability:
  • Work 8-12-hour shifts.
  • Work at least 2-3 shifts throughout the event period.
  • Full weekend availability.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possess a current California Guard Card License.
  • A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required for applicable sites.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Proficient in basic computer and smartphone usage.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to create accurate reports; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong listening skills, patience, and compassion, particularly when interacting with community members experiencing emotional or psychological challenges.
  • Ability to remain calm in crisis situations, think critically, de-escalate conflicts, and communicate effectively.
  • Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in adherence to all laws, regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with both company and client policies and procedures while being open to performance improvement.

  • At least one year of experience in security, mobile patrol, or event staff roles.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

This role requires specific physical abilities to ensure the Security Guard can effectively perform essential job duties. The candidate must be able to:
  • Stand or Walk for Extended Periods: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts, often for several hours at a time, including traversing outdoor areas with uneven surfaces, without significant physical strain.
  • Climb Stairs: Regularly climb stairs and navigate multi-level buildings to perform patrols and check all areas.
  • Lift and Carry: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to move or secure equipment and assist with other duties as necessary.
  • Physical Endurance: Ability to withstand various weather conditions during outdoor patrols, including hot, cold, rainy, or windy weather.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle and operate security equipment, such as radios, keys, and locks.
  • Run or Move Quickly: Ability to sprint short distances if needed to respond quickly to emergencies or incidents.
  • Physical Stamina: Capable of working long hours while remaining alert and focused throughout the shift. De-escalate stressful situations with professionalism and patience.
  • Kneeling and Bending: Ability to kneel, crouch, and bend to check low-level areas, secure entrances, or assist in emergencies.
