We’re currently seeking a passionate planner and collaborative character for the full-time Sales amp; Marketing Event Coordinator position in our Sales amp; Marketing Department. As a Sales amp; Marketing Department team member, you’ll assist in increasing revenue at trade shows and reptile expos, acquiring sales, and reaching new audiences. Your primary responsibilities will include travel and logistics management, staff training, brand representation, and event strategy planning for sales and customer acquisition.

  • Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday (9 AM to 5:30 PM), with occasional weekend coverage as needed
  • $18 to $20/hour starting wages (commensurate with experience)

Day-to-day Duties Include:

  • Event strategy and planning (nation-wide trade shows and outreach events)
  • Travel and logistics management (including but not limited to reservations, vendor coordination, timelines, order packing, and managing travel accommodations)
  • Staff training (preparing trade show employees to be professional and succinct)
  • Brand representation (communicating accurate product knowledge and embodying our company culture and values)
  • Sales and customer acquisition (implementing new or proven strategies)
  • Cross-functional collaboration with multiple departments (including but not limited to Animals, Plants, Insects, Production, and Shipping/Receiving)

For This Position, You MUST Possess:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational and teamwork skills to maintain detailed itineraries
  • Technological skills (general knowledge of basic software and operating systems)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to capture and follow a consistent brand image
  • Willingness to travel (driving or flying to events up to three times per month)

Special Consideration is Given to Those with:

  • Large event experience
  • Trade show management experience
  • Sales and/or marketing experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Valid CDL (or willingness to obtain one)
