Job description

Starting Wage: $18.00 hour

The Events Team Member (TM) is responsible for supporting and assisting in all tasks and activities of events, banquets and promotions, working with the Marketing Team to provide excellent guest service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides the highest level of guest service by greeting guests individually with a positive, pleasant and cheerful demeanor.
  • Responds quickly and courteously to guestโ€™s needs, questions, comments, or concerns with answers and or action.
  • Processes coupons and enters coupon codes in Patron during promotional events.
  • Responsible for the set up and break down of various events and functions.
  • Assists in building stages, arranging chairs, tables, decorations and other event or promotional features.
  • Sets dining tables for multi-course service and buffet events.
  • Serves food and beverages, ensuring quality of product being presented to guests.
  • If eligible, provides bartending services during events and banquets as assigned.
  • Assists with inventory tracking, counting and sorting linen, polishing glassware and cutlery.
  • Welcomes guests while receiving tickets, providing special care to guests with special requests and/or needs.
  • Monitors the audience during performances to assure an undisturbed atmosphere for both artists and guests.
  • Works as usher as assigned, aiding guests on exiting the building in case of an emergency.
  • Monitors crowd for unusual behavior, flash photography and/or video cameras.
  • Maintains awareness of, and effectively communicate to other Team Members, property-wide/company promotions, events and programs.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. ย  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY

  • Minimum age requirement for this position is 18 years old.
  • Possess or obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment.
  • Must have an OLCC Permit at the time of hire.
  • Must have a valid driverโ€™s license and be insurable by TRCRโ€™s insurance agency.
  • Experience in serving beverages, multi-course meals and buffet events is preferred.ย 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
  • Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
  • Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.ย ย 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.
