Event Program Manager Jobs in Texas (NOW HIRING)

Position Description
Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.
Major/Essential Functions
Recruitment, Visitor Center, and Community Outreach (45%)

• Facilitate and support the accomplishment of established university recruitment, engagement, and retention goals.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the student recruitment plan for the College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS).
• Track and assess recruiting efforts to adjust the recruitment plan accordingly. Serve as the team leader for undergraduate student recruitment efforts.
• Work with TTU Admissions and Regional Recruitment Centers to strategically utilize existing databases and collaborate on recruitment efforts, including promotion of the CHHS Dean's Scholarship Program as a recruitment tool.
• Complete Academic Information Sessions (AIS) with CHHS Ambassadors daily.
• Update and revise brochures, fliers, and other types of publications associated with recruitment. Place orders and maintain inventory of recruitment materials. Contribute to the social media plan for college as it applies to recruiting efforts.

• Develop and foster relationships with community college counselors, teachers, and other strategic partners for recruiting.
• Speak publicly to groups on and off campus to promote the college and its programs. Travel to and participate in university-sponsored recruitment events as well as on-campus recruitment events.
• Actively participate and engage with college and university guests.
• Contribute as a Student Services team member assisting the Associate Dean for Students as appropriate.
• Work collaboratively and plan strategically with colleagues to achieve organizational goals and to ensure that the CHHS Visitor Center is staffed from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Support Program Manager for CHHS Student Success, Recruitment, and Retention with scholarship initiatives.

Administrative, Data, Compliance & Support (20%)

• Perform administrative office duties, including data entry, scheduling, correspondence, and office operations
• Process travel, P-Cards, reimbursements, vouchers, and purchase orders in compliance with university and State of Texas policies
• Monitor recruitment data and prospect records to support enrollment tracking and reporting
• Evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment initiatives and recommend improvements
• Complete required university training and comply with institutional policies and procedures
• Support a collaborative, student-centered work environment

Events & Programs (25%)

• Collaborate with the Student Services Team and Program Manager for CHHS Student Success, Recruitment, and Retention in planning and hosting both local and out-of-town evening scholarship receptions and/or dinners for eligible first-time freshman and transfer students to extend students' formal scholarship offers.
• Collaborate with the Student Services Team and Program Manager for CHHS Student Success, Recruitment, and Retention in planning and hosting both local and out-of-town retention events.
• Manage event logistics, planning, compliance, and post-event evaluation

Students, Ambassadors & Leadership Programs (10%)

• Serve as Co-Advisor for the CHHS Ambassadors program
• Support recruitment, training, scheduling, and leadership development
• Assist with Dean's Leadership Council coordination and implementation
• Supervise student assistants within Student Services, including managing schedules, training, and supportive endeavors.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
