About the Job
Personnel Services Unlimited (PSU) is seeking an Event Operations Coordinator for an event and conference venue in Shelby, NC. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating exceptional guest experiences while ensuring events run smoothly from setup through completion.

From corporate meetings and conferences to banquets and large-scale events, you’ll play a key role in preparing event spaces, supporting clients, and helping deliver successful events.

What You’ll Do:
  • Prepare conference rooms, banquet halls, and event spaces for meetings, receptions, and special events.
  • Support event operations from setup through cleanup while ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
  • Coordinate with catering, vendors, and event staff to help events run smoothly.
  • Open and close the venue as scheduled and monitor activities during events.
  • Assist with audiovisual equipment and basic technology needs for meetings and presentations.
  • Maintain event equipment, bar inventory, and facility appearance.
  • Help train and support part-time event staff.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience in event venues, hotels, conference centers, hospitality, cateri,ng or banquet operations preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and a flexible event schedule
  • Able to stay organized while managing multiple priorities during busy events
  • Basic computer, audiovisual, and/or IT troubleshooting skills are helpful
  • Team-oriented with a professional appearance and positive attitude
  • High school diploma or GED required
