Pay: $27-$30 per hour
Location: Springfield, MO
The Role
The Commodity Buyer - Installation Materials works closely with suppliers, Operations, Project Management, and internal teams to support material flow and help maintain alignment with project schedules and customer needs. This role supports the procurement, planning, and coordination of installation materials to ensure product availability, accurate purchasing, and timely delivery across CSI operations.
The position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within purchasing and supply chain operations. Success in this role requires strong communication, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while learning how purchasing decisions impact operational success.

What You'll Do
  • Place and manage purchase orders while coordinating with suppliers on pricing, lead times, deliveries, and issue resolution
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenishment needs to support material availability and operational timelines
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information within Epicor, including pricing, lead times, due dates, and supplier data
  • Communicate supply risks, shortages, delays, and delivery concerns proactively across departments
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Operations, Customer Service, and Project Management teams to support material flow and project execution
  • Assist with sourcing, inbound shipment coordination, and process improvement initiatives to support efficient operations

Education & Training
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required
  • College coursework in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Inventory Management, preferred

Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, customer service, operations, logistics, inventory, or related field, preferred
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, required
  • ERP experience preferred, but not required
  • Sanitary stainless-steel industry background, helpful

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
