Job description

As the National Dir Workers’ Compensation and API, you will lead the development and execution of a scalable, enterprise-wide workers’ compensation (WC), auto (A), and personal injury (PI) channel strategy.

This is a leadership role responsible for accelerating growth and margin performance across ATI Physical Therapy's WC and API segments by strengthening national account capabilities, enhancing market-level execution, and expanding differentiated access channels.  ATI Physical Therapy Business Solutions

You will partner closely with field leadership, clinical operations and sales to build a more coordinated, outcomes-driven WC platform - positioning ATI as a preferred partner to employers, payers, TPAs, brokers and strategic partnerships.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a critical role in shaping ATI’s long-term WC/API go-to-market approach and ensuring consistent execution across all markets.

This is a leadership role with direct and indirect reports.

This is a fully remote position for US-based employees.

This role includes up to 30% travel across ATI's nationwide footprint.

National Strategy & Market Development
• Define and lead ATI’s enterprise WC strategy, aligned to growth, margin expansion, and market differentiation.
• Develop a cohesive go-to-market model across national, regional, and local WC channels.
• Identify and scale differentiated access points (employers, TPAs, brokers, early intervention, and legal community pathways).
• Establish ATI’s positioning around outcomes, speed to RTW, and clinical quality across all three verticals.

Network & Account Management Strategy
• Build and operationalize a best-in-class network account management model.
• Lead strategy for national and regional WC payer/TPA relationships, including contracting approach, performance expectations, and value articulation.
• Design and implement preferred provider frameworks, including service level agreements (SLAs), access standards, and reporting capabilities.
• Expand ATI’s ability to drive direct relationships and influence referral pathways through strategic partnerships.

Field Enablement & Market Execution
• Provide strategic direction and oversight for local WC/API business planning and execution across regions and districts.
• Partner with Business Development (BDM), Clinical Directors, and Operations leaders to ensure consistent execution of channel growth initiatives.
• Establish clear roles, accountability, and coordination across clinical, and field teams.
• Support development of micro-network strategies in priority markets.

Performance Management & Analytics
• Define and track key performance indicators including days to first visit, visits per claim, RTW timelines and outcomes, and re-injury rates.
• Partner with analytics and clinical ops to build transparent reporting and insights for internal teams and external partners.
• Use data to drive continuous improvement and differentiate ATI’s value proposition across all three channels.

Cross-Functional Leadership
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations to ensure standardized protocols, documentation, and training aligned to best practices.
• Partner with Marketing to strengthen ATI’s value story and employer-facing messaging.
• Partner with Compliance and Legal to ensure adherence to state-specific laws and regulations.
• Influence digital and access strategies, including front door and scheduling capabilities, to improve patient and partner experience.
• Work with back office ATI teams (RCM, AMT, Case Management, Payer Relations) to ensure strategy can be delivered and Accounts are supported.
