We are hiring an Escrow Officer in Hamilton, MT.

We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Escrow Officer to manage real estate transactions from file opening through closing and post-closing. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage escrow files from opening through closing and post-closing, ensuring transactions are handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and manage escrow documents, closing statements, title documents, lender instructions, payoff statements, lien releases, insurance documents, and other required materials.
  • Review title commitments and tax certificates, identify title issues or exceptions, and coordinate resolution with the appropriate parties.
  • Meet with attorneys, realtors, lenders, buyers, sellers, and clients to draft, review, and explain escrow instructions, agreements, and closing documents.
  • Conduct closings both on-site and off-site, oversee the execution of required documents, and disburse funds in accordance with company procedures and customer or lender requirements.
  • Administer trust accounts in accordance with company policy and handle confidential transaction information with discretion.
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams and external clients by phone, email, and in person to answer questions and support smooth, timely closings.
  • Participate in business development efforts, attend community and real estate events, and build and maintain a book of business through proactive relationship building and client engagement.
  • Support and promote the company’s core values, goals, and culture, while adapting to changing responsibilities and procedures with a positive, productive attitude.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the escrow or title industry
  • Must have or be able to obtain a producer license within 90 days, if applicable by state
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Notary Public commission within 90 days
  • Experience with residential, construction, and basic commercial transactions preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company or personal vehicle for business purposes, including errands, training, client meetings, community events, and off-site closings
  • Ability to pass a background check and MVR
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
