Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Closer to manage the final steps of the mortgage loan process. In this role, you will review loan documents, coordinate with title companies and other parties, ensure all requirements are met, and facilitate the successful closing and funding of mortgage and home equity loans. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and knowledgeable about mortgage closing procedures and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review approved loan files to ensure accuracy and completeness before closing.
  • Prepare and distribute closing packages to title and settlement companies.
  • Coordinate loan closings with borrowers, real estate agents, attorneys, and settlement agents.
  • Verify that all underwriting, credit, title, and property conditions have been satisfied prior to closing.
  • Review title work, property insurance, and related documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure closing documents meet federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Review Closing Disclosures and other settlement documents for accuracy.
  • Communicate with members, title companies, attorneys, and notaries throughout the closing process.
  • Calculate and process loan disbursements, payoffs, and related closing funds.
  • Prepare and maintain complete mortgage files for post-closing review.
  • Support home equity loan closings, including title review, escrow verification, disclosures, and payoff processing.
  • Track loan files to ensure timely closings and funding.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.88 - $19.88/hr.
