ERP Systems Analyst (Manufacturing)
Location: Birmingham, AL (On-Site)
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an ERP Systems Analyst to support, optimize, and enhance manufacturing business systems while assisting with ongoing ERP implementation and user adoption initiatives.
This individual will serve as a key liaison between manufacturing operations, business users, IT, and external vendors. The role combines ERP support, process improvement, reporting, troubleshooting, user training, and implementation support within a growing manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing setting and possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to help users successfully navigate system and process changes.
Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day support for ERP users across manufacturing and business operations.
  • Troubleshoot ERP-related issues and respond to user requests through the ticketing system.
  • Assist with ERP implementation, migration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Support user adoption efforts through training, documentation, and process guidance.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and system queries.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify process improvements and system enhancement opportunities.
  • Assist with data validation, data cleanup, and system maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with external ERP consultants and vendors on advanced support requests and projects.
  • Document business processes, workflows, and system procedures.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, and operational teams.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience supporting, administering, implementing, or analyzing ERP systems.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of manufacturing business processes including:
    • Inventory Management
    • Purchasing
    • Production Operations
    • Order-to-Cash / Quote-to-Cash
    • Material Planning
  • Experience working with reports, dashboards, and data analysis tools.
  • Basic SQL or database query experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to train, support, and build relationships with end users.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and a desire to continuously learn.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Epicor Kinetic, Epicor Prophet 21 (P21), SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, Acumatica, NetSuite, JD Edwards, QAD, Plex, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations or system migrations.
  • Experience with ERP reporting, dashboard development, workflow automation, or system configuration.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing costing, inventory control, and production planning processes.
