We are hiring a Senior Application Analyst for our Epic Willow Pharmacy Systems team.

This role has a focus on supporting the maintenance and enhancement of our Epic Willow Ambulatory, Specialty Pharmacy, and Inventory applications and associated 3rd party pharmacy systems such as Pyxis ES, Logistics, Codonics, Omnicell, nCoup, Apoteca, Sentri7, Bluesight, Sentry 340b and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Install new applications, new components, and upgrade existing applications. Configure application settings
  • Provide go-live and rollout support
  • Interface with users/clients across the Montefiore Health System. Support users with new applications, modules, and functionality
  • Perform analysis of necessary application modifications and work with the appropriate Montefiore IT associates or the vendor to coordinate the modification
  • Determine how a new system, upgrade, or new component can best meet the needs of the users:
  • Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements
  • Interpret end user requirements, by fully discussing potential options, and helping clients move towards optimal solutions
  • Evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system
  • Create system specifications from user requirements
  • Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modifications
  • Document all outcomes of testing
  • Application implementation, troubleshooting, and support
  • Participate in technical integration and interface build
  • Write and maintain accurate and current documentation Participate in the maintenance of training materials and disseminate materials to users
  • Design database queries and create reports utilizing a report-writing tool
  • Assist Application Analysts and other team members as necessary. Encourage, assist, and foster development of co-workers' skills and proficiency
  • Provide day-to-day operational support, advanced application troubleshooting support, coordinate modifications and updates, recommend improvements, increase efficiency and provide proactive monitoring
  • Provide 24 x 7 on-call coverage for user support on a weekly rotation
  • On an as-needed basis, provide on-site support within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and its' affiliates

Required:

  • Current RPh or PharmD license
  • Epic certification preferred (strong consideration will be given to candidates that are not currently certified but can demonstrate ability to become certified
  • 3+ years of pharmacy experience; clinical and operational workflows. Outpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience
  • Strong desktop skills, experience with Office365 applications with a large focus on Microsoft Excel and data analysis
  • Knowledge of SDLC - software development life cycle
  • Strong presentation skills to senior management stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, peers, and management
