Epic Senior Analyst | Beaker

North Point Technology is seeking an experienced Epic Senior Analyst specializing in Beaker to lead the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Epic laboratory applications. This role works closely with laboratory teams, clinical stakeholders, application analysts, trainers, and end users to support clinical pathology workflows and reliable laboratory operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesEpic Beaker Application Support

• Design, build, implement, maintain, and enhance Epic Beaker applications
• Serve as a primary support contact for application users
• Configure the application to support clinical pathology and laboratory workflows
• Identify, investigate, and resolve application issues
• Evaluate and resolve service tickets promptly
• Implement requested application changes
• Retrieve requested clinical and operational data
• Support integrations between Beaker and other Epic applications

Implementation and Testing

• Lead all phases of application testing
• Create and maintain workflow and configuration documentation
• Validate application functionality before changes are moved into production
• Analyze new Epic releases and determine their impact on existing workflows
• Support Epic Beaker implementations, upgrades, and production launches
• Identify potential risks and coordinate issue resolution
• Ensure application changes meet laboratory and clinical requirements

Laboratory Workflow Optimization

• Analyze clinical pathology and laboratory workflows
• Evaluate how application changes affect laboratory operations and patient care
• Optimize application configuration, functionality, and user access
• Support laboratory regulatory and compliance requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve laboratory efficiency, accuracy, and usability
• Support interfaces and integration points between Beaker and related systems

Leadership and Collaboration

• Provide oversight and guidance to associate and junior application analysts
• Support junior team members with application issues and daily operations
• Lead troubleshooting, build reviews, testing, and application changes
• Collaborate with laboratory stakeholders, clinical teams, and application teams
• Work with trainers to develop application documentation and training strategies
• Participate in project meetings and applicable operational committees
• Provide leadership with regular updates regarding projects, risks, and issues

Operational Support

• Provide ongoing production support for Epic Beaker
• Participate in an on call rotation
• Work evenings, nights, or weekends when necessary
• Maintain regular communication with application and project teams
• Follow established security, privacy, operational, and documentation procedures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, healthcare administration, laboratory science, or a related field
• At least five years of relevant experience, preferably within a healthcare organization

• Knowledge of clinical and operational healthcare workflows
