Description
The Commercial Lines Sales Executive drives organic growth for the organization, writing profitable, relationship-driven accounts under our Knight Vision process.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful producer will:
  1. Cultivate new relationships with individuals generating prospects that fit agency criteria and promote the agency.
  2. Knowledge of marketplace and carriers represented, their forms and possesses the ability to do coverage comparison as needed.
  3. Identify and assess various carrier products in order to select the best type of coverage at a competitive price for the client.
  4. Have the ability to explain coverages features, advantages and disadvantages in a clean and engaging manner, in order to promote sale of insurance products.
  5. Develop amicable, productive relationships with underwriters.
  6. Work productively with AM to service clients in a timely, efficient and effective manner including developing a sound relationship between AM and the client.
  7. When a problem/challenge arises stay informed and aide in resolution where appropriate.
  8. Provide excellent customer service at all times to ensure high client retention.
  9. Seek and take advantage of account rounding opportunities.
  10. Set and achieve annual sales objectives.
  11. Keep abreast of emerging industry information, new products, coverage and technology.
  12. Follow agency Errors & Omissions guidelines.

Requirements
  1. Thorough understanding of business/commercial property and casualty coverage.
  2. Competence in analyzing contracts to identify key exclusions and recognize coverage gaps.
  3. Cooperative and collaborative with team members at all levels; dedicated to a respectful, professional and collegial work environment.
  4. Self-starter; life-long learner. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of data. Constructive thinking and alternative short-to-long term solutions must be considered.
  5. Proven record of pursuing and closing sales.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  7. High attention to detail and an ability to work successfully on several projects concurrently.
  8. Excellent time and task management, and organizational skills.
  9. Computer skills. Competence with Microsoft Office, Applied Epic, Sales Force, K2, KIG Website, Succeed Management, etc.
  10. Insurance knowledge. Pursues or has earned advanced insurance designations such as CIC, CRM, etc.
