About The Role

We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Director of Sales & Business Development to lead Wind Energy revenue growth across North and South America. This role is responsible for defining and executing regional sales strategy, expanding market presence, and building strong client relationships across diverse markets.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in regional market dynamics, commercial strategy, and team leadership, with a proven ability to scale revenue in complex, multi-country environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the sales and business development strategy across the Americas, aligned with global growth objectives
  • Lead revenue generation efforts, including new business acquisition, key account management, and partnerships
  • Analyze and leverage regional market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to drive growth (critical requirement)
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales and business development team across North and South America
  • Establish and manage sales targets, forecasts, and performance metrics
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, alliances, and market expansion opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and product teams to ensure market alignment and successful execution
  • Drive pipeline development, deal strategy, and contract negotiations
  • Ensure consistent application of sales processes, CRM usage, and reporting standards
  • Represent the company in key client engagements, industry events, and executive-level negotiations

Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and/or business development, including regional leadership
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth within the wind energy industry, including experience selling technical services, installation, maintenance, major component exchanges (MCE), or related wind turbine solutions
  • Strong understanding of regional markets, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics (critical requirement)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and scaling sales teams
  • Experience working in a global or matrixed organization
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual or multilingual (Spanish, French, and/or Portuguese preferred, but not required)
  • Experience in high-growth, transformation, or international expansion environments
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce or similar)
  • Established relationships with wind industry OEMs, asset owners, utilities, and renewable energy developers are strongly preferred.
