The Opportunity

We are partnering with a rapidly growing global leader in the wind energy industry to identify a Director of Sales & Business Development to lead sales strategy and growth across the Americas.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced wind energy services sales professional who understands the industry, has established customer relationships, and knows how to sell complex manpower, service, maintenance, and project solutions—not physical products.

The company has a strong global presence and is continuing to expand throughout North America. This role will play a critical part in building and scaling the company's commercial presence across the Americas.

What You'll Do

  • Lead sales and business development strategy across North and South America
  • Develop and expand relationships with major wind industry customers and OEMs
  • Build and grow a significant pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Lead a team of sales professionals while partnering with global teams
  • Develop new business around major component exchanges, repowering, service agreements, drivetrain/gearbox projects, and other wind services
  • Manage complex commercial negotiations and large-scale service contracts
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing business lines and develop new revenue streams
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with customers, asset owners, OEMs, and industry partners
  • Work closely with operations and contract teams to ensure solutions align with customer needs and project requirements

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 5–7+ years of sales/business development experience within the wind energy industry
  • Proven success selling manpower, field services, maintenance, installation, or other technical service solutions
  • Existing relationships with wind energy customers, OEMs, asset owners, or related stakeholders
  • Experience across the North American wind market; South American experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated success managing a substantial book of business and/or $10M+ annual sales quotas
  • Experience with major component exchanges, repowering, service agreements, drivetrain/gearbox work, or similar wind services
  • Strong understanding of wind industry terminology and commercial processes
  • Leadership experience managing sales professionals and influencing cross-functional/global teams
  • Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Important: This is a services-focused sales position. We are specifically looking for professionals who have sold manpower, technical services, maintenance, installation, or similar solutions within the wind industry. Experience selling physical wind turbine products alone will not be a match.

Why This Opportunity?

  • Executive-level visibility with direct impact on the company's growth strategy
  • Remote flexibility with the ability to work from anywhere in the U.S.; Houston is preferred but not required
  • Significant earning potential with a $180K–$300K+ base and performance-based bonus
  • Flexible compensation for exceptional candidates
  • Opportunity to build and expand the Americas sales organization
  • Lead growth within a rapidly expanding renewable energy market
  • Work with an established global organization with a strong technical and safety reputation
  • Significant autonomy to develop customer relationships, identify opportunities, and shape the commercial strategy

Interested?

If you're an established wind energy sales leader with a strong network and a track record of winning large-scale service contracts, this is an opportunity to have a direct impact on the growth of a global renewable energy organization.

We'd love to connect and confidentially discuss the opportunity.
