Job description

Position Title: Epic Resolute Application Developer

Location: Remote Position – EST/CST

Anticipated Start Date: June 2026

Expected Duration: 12+ months contract (with possible extension)

Job Type: Contract, 40 HRS WEEKLY, Remote Position

Pay Range: $65/Hr - $80/Hr on W2

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Requirements:

Analysts must be certified by Epic in Resolute Hospital Billing Administration or certifications in SBO (Single Billing Office) or Professional Billing (PB).

Job Description:

Understanding of the end-to-end hospital revenue cycle, from pre-registration and charge capture to claim scrubbing and denial management.

Epic Resolute HB/PB Builds skills having experience in configuring:

Fee Schedules: Setting up and updating chargemasters, pricing, and fee arrays.

Charge router/coding/Claim: Building Work queues for accounts that require review, and checks to avoid denials

Payer Contracts: Configuring expected reimbursements, DRGs (Diagnosis-Related Groups), and fee schedules for different insurance plans.

Remittance & Denial Posting: Setting up auto-posting for ERAs (Electronic Remittance Advice) and mapping Denial Codes for routing to specialized follow-up work queues

Coding Standards: Working knowledge of medical coding, specifically ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, revenue codes, and modifiers.

Integration Points: Understanding how HB interacts with clinical modules (e.g., Willow for pharmacy, OpTime for surgery), as well as Epic's ADT/Prelude (registration) and SBO (Single Billing Office).

Data & Analytics: Ability to generate billing reports, build custom dashboards

Troubleshooting: Investigating system errors, analysing claim rejections

Workflow Optimization: Collaborating with clinical departments and billing office staff to re-engineer workflows, reduce manual data entry, and minimize Accounts Receivable (A/R) days.

Testing & Upgrades: Conduct testing for Epic’s quarterly and annual system upgrades in compliance with organizational standards and migrate approved changes to production.

Documentation & Training: Creating knowledge bases, documentation for change management, and training materials for end-users

Epic Certifications: Analysts must be certified by Epic in Resolute Hospital Billing Administration or certifications in SBO (Single Billing Office) or Professional Billing (PB).
