Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Principal Trainer with deep application expertise and a strong background in adult learning and instructional design. The ideal candidate is a proactive, self-directed professional who builds strategic partnerships, develops effective training programs, and translates complex Hospital Billing workflows into engaging learning solutions that drive user adoption, performance, and operational success. Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and relationship-building skills are essential.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Principal Trainer who combines strong application knowledge with a passion for adult learning. This individual is proactive, takes initiative, and independently seeks information and solutions. They build strong, strategic relationships with operational and technical teams, communicate effectively with all audiences, and translate complex workflows into clear, engaging training that drives learner adoption and performance.

Essential Functions of the Role
  • Provide testing and documentation of workflows, data collections, and end-user report details. Address other technical issues with applications, considering both vendor and internal stakeholder needs.
  • Create, modify and track system build timely and effectively.
  • Create and execute test scripts for new system builds.
  • Implement system updates and changes, and communicates those changes to super users and end users.
  • Provide ongoing application help and end user training for all helped applications.
  • Engage, manage, and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Solve problems by studying business issues/requirements, studying workflows and synthesizing key messages.
  • Assist in the coordination of training materials and schedules for all super users and end users.
  • Serve as liaison between end users, subject matter experts and vendor implementation team.
Key Success Factors
  • 4+ years of Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) application support experience, including Revenue Cycle workflows such as claims management, billing, reimbursement, workqueues, and related operational processes.
  • Current Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Administration Certification or Accreditation required/preferred.  Additional Epic Administration Certificates or Accreditation in Hospice Billing and/or Research Billing are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Epic MST build, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, issue resolution, upgrades, optimization, and ongoing support.
  • Experience serving as a subject matter expert (SME) and partnering with operational leaders, stakeholders, end users, and multidisciplinary teams to support business objectives and system improvements.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently identify issues, develop solutions, and continuously expand technical knowledge.
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering training programs for adult learners, including curriculum development, instructional design, job aids, tip sheets, simulations, and eLearning content.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, including participation in sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, implementation, education, and communication activities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical and operational information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and execute complex tasks through strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, collaboration tools, workflow management systems, and other business technologies used to support healthcare operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team environments, facilitate meetings, build strategic partnerships, and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable professional with a commitment to continuous learning, process improvement, and delivering high-quality customer service.

The pay range for this position is $34.58 (entry-level qualifications) - $53.60 (highly experienced) The specific rate will depend upon the successful candidate's specific qualifications and prior experience.
