Summary:

Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product until they are completed to acceptance test procedures. The assembler performs repetitive workstation or line-assembly operations.

Main Activities/Responsibilities:

  • Accurately assembling products at a fast pace on a single flow assembly line.
  • Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.
  • Reading written instructions; labeling product and packages.
  • Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules.
  • Cross-trained on different products lines.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Operates any equipment needed to perform the job.
  • Performs related duties as needed by supervision.
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

Competencies:

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand or walk an entire shift.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools to perform one or more repetitive assembly operation to produce small, lightweight medical products.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, repetitively, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Proficient understanding of written and verbal English
  • Strong attention to details
  • Computer skills (basic).
  • Spanish speaker preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • High School preferred.

One year or more of experience in a fast-paced production or assembly position, preferred.
