Responsible for scheduling theusage of production materials to optimize production efficiency.

Job Summary
  • Coordinate with production and other departments regarding material shortages and or other problems affecting meeting customer requirements, then modify and adapt production schedules, as needed. The shop floor packets are then initiated.
  • Reports items complete - make sure all material has been issued, report it on hand and issue it to the next assembly or notify program manager, so they can issue shipper
  • Update various production status reports.
  • Enter work orders in MRP system for each manufacturing sales order.
  • Issue changes to accommodate revisions, cancellations and other priorities (as needed).
  • Create and maintain files related to each sales release until order closed.
  • May assign and archive serial numbers for each assembly requiring serialization at some facilities.
  • Adhere to Employee Expectations Policy
  • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
  • Perform other assignments as required

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • MRP exposure preferred
  • Intermediate level of computer skills in e-mail, internet, Word, and Excel
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills needed
  • Detail oriented; Ability to maintain accurate records and files

Required Experience and Education
  • High School diploma or GED required;
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Minimum two years required in a manufacturing environment
