Job Summary:
As a Client Accounting Advisory Services (CAAS) Associate, you will play a key role in supporting and executing clients' day-to-day accounting functions as part of a collaborative team. This role partners closely with entrepreneurial business owners, maintaining regular communication to address evolving needs, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and deliver meaningful insights. You will actively contribute to financial discussions, helping clients maintain a clear, reliable financial picture to support informed business decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage full-cycle accounting processes
  • Review and analyze the general ledger to identify trends, variances, and potential issues on a monthly basis
  • Oversee accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all client payments
  • Process client payroll and maintain ongoing communication regarding HR and employee updates
  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines and deliverables effectively
  • Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving client issues
  • Communicate financial results and insights to clients and internal stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with internal team members to address challenges and recommend practical solutions
  • Identify potential compliance and reporting issues, research appropriate solutions, and escalate when necessary
  • Maintain billable hours in alignment with firm utilization standards

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 1-2 years of experience in industry accounting or public accounting
  • QuickBooks Online, Gusto, and Bill.com experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, easily switching between multiple clients as needed
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
