Job description


We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level Real Estate Paralegal OR Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team on a temp-to-perm basis. This position is ideal for candidates with at least one year of experience or relevant internship exposure in real estate law who are eager to further develop their skills. This is a temp to perm position paying 50K-60K yearly.
In this role, you will support attorneys in all aspects of real estate transactions, including document preparation, due diligence, and case management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and possesses strong research and communication skills, with a foundational understanding of real estate closings and loan documentation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing legal documents related to real estate transactions, including purchase agreements, deeds, closing documents, and title reports
  • Conduct legal research using platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis, focusing primarily on real estate law, title issues, and related regulatory matters
  • Support the closing process by organizing closing binders, coordinating documentation, and ensuring all required materials are complete and accurate
  • Maintain and manage case files using document management systems (e.G., iManage, PCLaw), ensuring proper organization and timely updates
  • Review legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Track deadlines, schedule meetings, and assist with overall case and transaction management
  • Perform administrative duties including data entry, filing, and maintaining client records
  • Communicate professionally with clients, lenders, title companies, and other parties involved in real estate transactions

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of real estate paralegal or legal assistant experience or relevant internship experience required
  • Basic understanding of real estate closings, title review, and loan documents
  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and/or LexisNexis
  • Knowledge of legal administrative processes, including document review, proofreading, and filing procedures
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Professional phone etiquette and strong administrative support skills
