Job Title: Paralegal & File Clerk

Location: New Orleans, LA

Our team is comprised of passionate professionals who value collaboration, integrity, and excellence. We are currently seeking two employees a motivated Paralegal to join our dynamic team as well as an entry level file clerk.

Position Overview: The Paralegal will support our attorneys in various legal tasks, ensuring efficient case management and client service. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The File Clerk will be responsible for filing documents into physical and electronic files, data entry, document delivery and other various tasks.    

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with legal research and prepare case documents, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are up to date and easily accessible.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and other parties to coordinate case activities.
  • Review and summarize legal documents and contracts.
  • Prepare for trials by organizing exhibits and evidence.
  • Conduct factual investigations and gather relevant information.
  • Manage deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents.

Qualifications:

Paralegal Position: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
  • 2+ years of experience in a legal setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

File Clerk: 

  • High School diploma or GED.  
  • Basic computer literacy.  
  • Ability to follow established procedures. 
  • Ability to lift file boxes. 
  • Ability to communicate professionally and maintain confidentiality.
