Purdue University is seeking an Associate IT Support Engineer to join a collaborative team supporting the technology environments that enable teaching, learning, and research.
As an entry-level professional contributor working under immediate supervision, this role contributes to the development, installation, coordination, and maintenance of enterprise-level Windows, macOS, and Linux systems, software, and system management tools. Working as part of an integrated team, you will help ensure reliable and secure computing environments aligned with Purdue's instructional mission.

You'll gain hands-on experience in enterprise technology environments while working alongside experienced professionals who value collaboration, consistency, and continuous improvement. What We're Looking For
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of six (6) months of professional experience in one or more of the following areas required:
    • Windows, MacOS, or Linux systems administration
    • Hardware maintenance of advanced computer, peripherals, and networking systems required
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Preferred:
  • Purdue IT experience a bonus

Skills Required:
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following is required; familiarity of the rest is desired: Windows, Mac OS, or Linux
  • Familiarity with software redistribution techniques (i.e. SCCM/CM, Puppet, etc.) desired
  • Ability to:
    • work with a wide variety of computer hardware, software, operating systems, peripherals, etc.
    • work with a wide variety of faculty, staff, and students in a multitude of environments like instruction, administration, and research
    • troubleshoot a variety of environments
