An entry-level health educator works to educate people in a community about healthcare services, disease prevention practices, and other health-related topics. A health educator coordinates with other public health workers to assess and define the educational needs of a community. You then help create a strategy or education program to address those needs. Your duties and responsibilities include educating people online, at community events, or by other means. You then assess the effectiveness of your efforts and make adjustments if necessary. Entry-level educators typically work under supervision or on a team, and may focus on one specific area of a comprehensive health education effort.
