Job description

Status: Full-time 

Schedule: 7.00 Hours/Day (8:00 am-3:30 pm); Monday-Friday 260 Days/Year 

Hourly Salary: $28.53

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The purpose of this position is to provide education and support to children, families and staff in the implementation of an effective health program. 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Certification/License Required:  CPH, CHES or MCHES certification, or LPN/RN license

Education Desired:  Bachelor's in Public Health, Health Education, or health related field in lieu of LPN/RN

Experience Required:  3-5 years' experience in community health, nutrition, child development, first aid, and safety desirable. Working knowledge of local community resources related to medical and dental care. Intermediate computer skills: programs can include but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer.

  • Collaboratively works as part of an educational team; becomes familiar with the unique needs and rights of students as well as Head Start regulations to ensure all are met. 

  • Actively contributes to the provision of a safe environment for the students being served.

  • Effectively adapts to unexpected, changing situations.

  • Valid state driver's license with a good driving record
