POSITION SUMMARY:
Prepares cold food for patients to include nourishments and tube feeding products, food for cafeteria, and catering/special functions. Works on patient food service tray line while providing accurate and high quality food. Operates various ware washing machinery and/or the three compartment sink for the cleaning of pots and pans. Prioritizes putting away stock and supplies and rotates according to First In First Out. Passes trays, nourishments, and floor stock to the patients or the assigned unit/area. Assists in compiling patient late trays and delivers trays as necessary. Rounds on patients during meal times and picks up dirty trays. Responsible for picking up and cleaning up after special functions. Ensures cafeteria is ready for meal service including stocking, setting up the hot food line, and serving meals to customers. Accurately handles cash and operates the cash register. Ensures all areas in kitchen and cafeteria are kept clean, garbage removed, and proper sanitation procedures are followed.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE:
Entry level position allowing 2 weeks to learn elements of the position.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Serve Safe Certification preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to read, write and communicate routine information in English; must be able to work reliably from written and oral instructions.
