The HRIS Systems Analyst reports directly to the IT Applications Manager. This entry-level position supports the day-to-day troubleshooting, administration and maintenance of the organization's HRIS platforms, including Dayforce and UKG Dimensions. The Junior Systems Analyst works closely with IT, Human Resources, and Payroll stakeholders to ensure system accuracy, resolve user issues, and support ongoing reporting needs. Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the items listed below. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Internal Customer Support
  • Serve as a first point of contact for HRIS-related support tickets, providing timely and professional assistance to end users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine system issues, escalating more complex problems to the Lead IT Architect or the IT Applications Manager as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with users so they feel confident their issue is understood and being actively addressed.
  • Assist in the creation of end user documentation, job aids, and training materials.
  • Support onboarding and training for new system users as needed.

System Administration
  • Assist with day-to-day maintenance and administration of Dayforce and UKG Dimensions, ensuring data accuracy and system availability.
  • Perform routine system audits to identify and correct data discrepancies.
  • Support user access management, including setup, updates, and deactivation of user accounts and security roles.
  • Assist the Lead IT Architect with configuration requests as needed.
  • Monitor scheduled jobs, imports, and exports to ensure successful completion and troubleshoot failures as needed.
  • Support testing efforts for system updates, patches, and new releases as needed.

Reporting & Data
  • Assist with the maintenance of standard and ad hoc reports within Dayforce and UKG Dimensions.
  • Support data validation efforts to ensure accuracy across HRIS platforms and integrations with downstream systems.
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency within HRIS workflows.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Professional Aptitude
  • 0-2 years of experience in HRIS, IT support, or a related administrative role.
  • Prior exposure to Dayforce, UKG Dimensions, or similar HRIS/HCM platforms is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Eagerness to learn new systems and grow technical skill set over time.
  • Ability to follow established procedures while identifying opportunities to ask questions and improve processes.

Technical
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and data structures a plus.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., SysAid) preferred.

  • A customer-service mindset, communicating with warmth and clarity so users feel confident and supported throughout the resolution process.
