Job description

AXL Global Consulting is looking for experienced individuals to join our Dayforce Consulting team. As a Dayforce Payroll Consultant, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation and deployment of Dayforce HCM (Human Capital Management) solutions for clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their payroll processes, configure Dayforce Payroll to meet their specific requirements, and ensure a smooth transition from their existing payroll systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in guiding clients through the implementation process, providing training, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that the Dayforce Payroll system is effectively integrated into their overall HCM strategy.

You should have a technical mindset and be comfortable problem solving with multiple systems. This is a functional consulting position; however knowledge of the technical aspects of software implementations such as System Integration or Report Writing is a big plus.

This is a full-time, remote (USA or Canada) role.  

Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their payroll processes, business requirements, and regulatory compliance needs. 

  • Conduct workshops and meetings to gather functional and technical requirements for configuring Dayforce Payroll. 

  • Configure Dayforce Payroll based on client requirements and best practices. 

  • Manage data migration activities to ensure accurate and timely transfer of payroll data into Dayforce. 

  • Develop and execute test plans to validate the functionality and accuracy of configured payroll processes. Advise on variances in results between legacy and Dayforce Payroll.   

  • Conduct system integration testing with other modules within Dayforce HCM. 

  • Provide comprehensive training to client stakeholders on using Dayforce Payroll effectively. 

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to address client queries and provide ongoing support during and after implementation. 

  • Create project plans and timelines for implementation activities. 

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery and client satisfaction. 

  • Document configuration decisions, processes, and any customizations made during implementation. 

  • Prepare status reports and updates for clients and internal stakeholders. 

  • Stay updated with Dayforce Payroll updates, features, and industry best practices. 

  • Recommend enhancements or additional modules that could benefit the client's payroll operations. 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field. 

  • Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in implementing, configuring, and testing Dayforce HCM solutions, with a focus on Payroll. 

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. 

  • Proficiency in analyzing and working with large data sets including data transformation.  

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. 

  • Certification in Dayforce HCM or related HR/payroll systems (preferred). 

  • Full-time, US or Canada - remote. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Client management experience 

  • Experience with Payroll systems such as Dayforce, UKG, ADP, Novatime, etc. 

  • SQL and XML knowledge is a plus 

  • Relevant Certifications in HR, IT, WFM, and/or PROSCI are a plus
