Were looking for a Compliance Technician to join our growing team in Denver, CO. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical, maintenance, or field experience who wants to build a long-term career in petroleum compliancewith structured training and clear advancement.


Pay: Experienced / Certified Technician: Starting at $28/hr+, DOE

Benefits: PTO, 401(k), and full benefits package


Your Mission:

Youll support and perform compliance inspections and testing of petroleum storage and dispensing systems to ensure sites meet all environmental and regulatory requirements. As experience grows, so will responsibility, certifications, and pay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and monitoring of petroleum systems including USTs, ASTs, piping, sensors, and leak detection equipment

  • Perform monthly, annual, and post-repair compliance activities (training provided for entry-level roles)

  • Inspect and verify proper operation of leak detection, interstitial monitoring, spill containment, and overfill protection systems

  • Assist with or perform compliance testing such as line/leak testing and ATG functionality checks

  • Ensure work meets local, state, and federal regulations (EPA, OPS, fire code)

  • Accurately document inspections, test results, and site compliance records

  • Work alongside experienced technicians to identify and correct non-compliant conditions

  • Maintain and care for testing equipment and tools

  • Participate in safety meetings and follow all hazardous materials, confined space, and spill prevention protocols


What You Bring to the Table:

  • Valid Colorado QST Certification and A/B Operator Certification (preferred or required for senior level)

  • Experience performing compliance testing or inspections on petroleum systems

  • Working knowledge of UST/AST regulations and environmental compliance programs

  • Familiarity with ATGs (Veeder-Root), sensors, sumps, and leak detection systems

  • Experience with SIR, pressure testing, cathodic protection evaluation, or similar

  • Prior experience preparing regulatory documentation and compliance reports

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the following:

  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check. If the position is classified as safety-sensitive, it requires the applicant to pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana, as a condition of employment.

  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.
