What does a Production Technician do at Swire Coca-Cola?
Run automated manufacturing equipment to produce a variety of beverages in the production facility. Responsible for basic maintenance of the equipment/machines operated. The Production Technician I is an entry level position into the Production Team - little to no experience is required.
Job Details:
Job Level: 2
Schedule: 6:00 am - 6:30 pm (Rotating schedule, 2-2-3)
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor less complex equipment and machines under general supervision; replenish materials as needed throughout the production shift
  • Set up machinery and ensure all production materials are available and ready
  • Visually inspect production run and document results
  • Provide basic maintenance of equipment, to include cleaning, inspection of equipment, and lubrication
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area; maintain organized workspace
  • Perform quality review of equipment to maintain safety and performance standards
  • Support Continuous Improvement by participating in root cause / corrective action analyses when equipment is not performing at optimal level
  • Follow established safety, quality and environmental policies, practices, and programs

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or GED) required
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, production operations, and industrial technology preferred
  • Must be able to learn and fully operate assigned production equipment
  • Must be able to read and interpret work instructions
  • Ability to perform essential functions working under general supervision, generally with a trainer or higher-level technician
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand for up to 11 hours during shift
  • Ability to reach overhead frequently
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel frequently
  • Ability to ascend and descend sets of stairs - both metal grate and concrete - on a frequent basis
