Overview

We are seeking aย Medical Surgical CNA,ย also referredย toย Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)ย or Med-Surg CNA.ย A Med Surg CNA willย assistย with patient care by supporting daily activities, mobility, feeding, and vital signs whileย monitoring forย any changes. Additionally, the Med Surgย CNA,ย will help nurses byย maintainingย supplies,ย assistingย with wound care, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.ย ย

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):ย 

  • Assistย patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toiletingย 
  • Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to preventย skin breakdown, you may also feed patients who needย assistanceย andย monitorย intake/outputย 
  • Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration),ย observeย and report changes in a patient's condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RNย 
  • Stock andย maintainย supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safeย 
  • Assistย in transporting patients within the hospitalย 
Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.

2. Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

4. Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
