Job description

Achievement Behavior Care (ABC) Services is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) home-base therapy agency. We are dedicated to the mission of connecting children with the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families with ABA tools, principals, and practices for continued success and independence during their school-aged years (We serve clients between the ages of 3 and 23 years of age).ย  At the leadership of LCSWs and BCBAs, we have been learning and growing as an ABA agency since 2015. Presently, weย are seeking ABA Behavioral Technicians (BTs) to join our network of dedicated ABA professionals, to provide direct ABA services to children with ASD, in collaboration with one of our many esteemed Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBAs).

Behavior Technician Location

Lake Hiawatha: ย 

We also have several other cases inย Hudson Countyย in Union City, North Bergen, Secaucus, and Kearny. We have several cases inย Union County seeking bilingual Spanish speaking and English-only speaking BTs; We also have cases inย Essex,ย Bergen,ย Passaic, Morris, Warren, Sussex, Middlesex, Somerset, Ocean and Mercer County each with their own schedule, for after school hours, and/or weekends, some daytime for the summer.ย 

Behavior Technician Tasks:

  • Measure, assess, and document skill acquisition of student's progress on the Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)

  • 1:1 Goal-oriented, in home, direct service work with a student involving implmentation of ABA approaches including but not limited to discrete trial teaching, prompting, modeling, redirection, reinforcements, and reward-systems.

  • Thorough and comprehensive session-to-session documentation, data analyisis, and billing.

  • Actively engaging with clinical direction and professional feedback from BCBA supervisor(s)

  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with clients or students, caregivers, supervisors, and coworkers

Behavior Technician Qualifications:

  • Relevantย fields of studies: Special Education, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analytics, or related field of study

  • Preferred Registered Behavior Technician certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

  • 0-5 years of experience required for entry-level positions

  • Strong communication skills required

  • Ability to work under high-stress situations

  • Exhibits significant reliable habits, including timeliness and organizational skills

  • Proven experience working with pre-school and elementary school-aged children

  • Additional evidence of successful work with patients suffering from Autism and development issues

  • Other experience, certificates, or qualifications as required by state
