Job description

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Applications, the Director, Enterprise Applications will plan, direct, and oversee all aspects of engineering, operations activities, and project execution for InnovAge’s portfolio of Enterprise applications. The portfolio includes complete ecosystems for Enterprise level ERP, HCM, Payroll, Claims, Audit tools, and other Enterprise level applications.

Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor and develop the performance of the Enterprise Applications team
  • End-to-end responsibility of leading ERP development and lifecycle, partnering closely with the IT and business teams.
  • Manage the development and deployment of new enterprise level applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications.
  • Ensure that the process for selection, deployment, upgrading and maintaining Line-of-Business and Enterprise software is subject to appropriate and relevant governance, including HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX )and in compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., PCI, ISO 27001)
  • Work with internal audit, external audit, and InnovAge management for both SOX and IT GRC controls
  • Ensure Line-of-Business and Enterprise Applications support business goals and meet user requirements, where necessary consolidating across different user communities.
  • Ensure development, deployment and support of Enterprise Applications is in line with Business and Information Technology strategies, maximizing operational effectiveness.
  • Lead the development of multiyear capability road maps for enterprise applications, consulting business function leads, system integrators, system end users and vendors.
  • Advise senior management on the application strategy within markets and business units.
  • Regularly prepare management reports and participate in Steering Committee meetings as required
  • Compile & manage enterprise application technology annual budgets and costs
  • Responsible for release and change management, coordination and adherence to quality standards for multiple Enterprise technology solutions
  • Define and track performance metrics to quantify team performance against vision and organization goals
  • Oversee numerous projects in parallel, prioritizing resources effectively and being pragmatic about what can be done given resource availability
  • Partner with peers to define, acquire, and maintain tools to improve the efficiency of the operations and technical support and track compliance with standard operating procedures
  • Forge and manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain and promote Integrity, Honesty, Professionalism, Trust, Security, and Quality.

This role can be staffed anywhere in the US; the company is headquartered in Denver, CO, and the expectation is that the resources filling the role will be available to work CO hours (8am – 5pm MT). There is an expectation of 4-6 days per month in an office environment in CO. Occasional travel (no more than 10%) will be required to visit InnovAge’s facilities.

REQUIRED

Education

  • Bachelor degree in computer science, related technical field or relevant experience required
  • Masters degree in computer science, engineering or business administration field or relevant experience preferred

Work Experience and Qualifications

  • 10+ years-experience in implementing, upgrading and enabling lead ERP solutions, & leading ERP teams and deploying solutions with specific experience in Finance, Payroll, HR, Maintenance.
  • 5+ years-experience with enterprise architecture and design patterns
  • Proven experience in enterprise integration with a focus on cloud computing and traditional ERP environments
  • Must have experience in developing strategies and roadmaps with IT architecture focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate business requirements, direction, and initiatives from an enterprise-level perspective
  • Substantial knowledge of business functions, processes and supporting technology in a Healthcare organization
  • Experienced in the multiple areas of information and data management for finance, supply chain, customer service, HR, and business/process improvement
  • Proven ability to lead and build strong scalable and diverse teams; demonstrated success leading geographically dispersed teams
  • Healthcare experience is required, with knowledge of how Enterprise systems such as ERP, Claims, HCM are implemented within a Healthcare environment
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Demonstrated experiencing hiring, managing, developing and retaining highly technical staff and leadership
  • Proven ability to manage a team within a matrixed structure
  • Demonstrated experience leading and running complex technology development projects (on time, on budget)
  • Demonstrated experience leading an operations and support team, ensuring that service levels are defined and met
  • Experience working with various software technologies and tools used by business
  • and operations staff
  • Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including cloud, databases, applications, platforms, services, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with operating in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)
  • Experience with developing, tracking and reporting key performance indicators, such as uptime, team velocity, lead time, cycle time, etc.
