Job Description

Job Description:

This is a role to support the Data Center Remediation project which is comprised of 4 initiatives. Experience is required in one or more of the following: 

Upgrading Citrix XenApp 4.5/5.0/6.5 farms to 6.5 and 7.6 farms with StoreFront

Remediating application front ends to be compatible with newer versions of Citrix

Obtaining application requirements for install and UAT with application owners

Design and Configuration of Citrix Netscalers

The Application Interface Manager: 

Functions as the primary contact person for the CHI Application owners and Application Directors

Provides designs and deployment steps for Netscalers

Performs installations of the applications into the new Citrix environment

Responsibilities:

Performs the migration scheduling and sequencing of building the Citrix image with as many compatible applications

Facilitates and helps remove roadblocks to the migration schedule especially coordinating and sequencing CRQ requests, schedule changes and follow-up tasks

Assists with tracking of issues and risks especially pertaining to the application set assigned to particular Application Interface Manager (there will be more than one)

Ensures adequate documentation is provided to support migration of applications

Attends and participates in Program Management and migration process reviews

Communicates application migration progress upward and outward on a required/regular basis

Additional tasks/responsibilities as assigned

May require on-call coverage and work outside of normal business hours

Skills, Requirements and Certifications:

Excellent inter-personal communication skills, verbal and written

Capacity to pay meticulous attention to the detail of scheduling migrations of multiple components of an application group

Works well without immediate direction negotiating schedules and user acceptance testing with application owners and application support teams

Works well in a team environment under strict time deadlines

Familiar with and willing to use MS project as the primary scheduling and task tracking tool

A technical degree (at minimum) in information processing-related or technology-related field required, or may substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience

5-7 years of experience in information technology

Familiarity with Citrix, Netsacler, and Windows server operating system preferred

Knowledge of enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies preferred

Knowledge of ITIL environments preferred

Knowledge of the application of computer technology within healthcare preferred

Experience working directly with healthcare application vendors preferred
