What is enterprise account development?

Enterprise Account Development involves identifying, nurturing, and growing relationships with large, strategic business clients—often known as enterprise accounts. Professionals in this role focus on understanding the unique needs of major organizations, developing tailored solutions, and driving long-term business growth. They often work closely with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure a smooth client experience and maximize account potential. The role requires strong communication, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills.

How does an enterprise account development professional typically collaborate with sales and marketing teams?

  • 5+ years of enterprise software or SaaS sales experience with a demonstrated track record of exceeding quota.

  • Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and closing six-figure enterprise agreements.

  • Experience using a structured sales methodology such as MEDDIC, Challenger, Command of the Message, or similar.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with executive-level audiences.

  • Familiarity with geopolitical risk, national security, or strategic intelligence markets.

Description

As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will own the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting through contract execution—while developing long-term relationships with strategic enterprise customers.

You will:

  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, solution development, negotiation, and closing.

  • Develop and execute territory and account strategies that generate sustainable pipeline growth.

  • Partner with Solutions Engineering, Marketing, Product, Intelligence, and Customer Success teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • Understand customer priorities and position Strider's platform as a strategic solution to critical business challenges.

  • Lead discovery conversations, product demonstrations, executive presentations, and commercial negotiations.

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management within CRM systems.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.

  • Share market intelligence and customer feedback to help inform product development and go-to-market strategy.

  • Represent Strider with professionalism and integrity at customer meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Benefits:

  • Competitive Compensation

  • Company Equity Options

  • Flexible PTO

  • Wellness Reimbursement

  • US Holidays (Office Closed)

  • Paid Parental Leave

  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
