Job description

Enrollment Analyst

The Laborers Funds Administrative Office of Northern California, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation providing administrative services under contractual agreements for Northern California Laborers Trust Funds. We employ over 100 employees and provide services for over 30,000 Laborers and beneficiaries in the various employee benefit plans we have administered since 1963.

As an Enrollment Analyst, you'll be joining an exciting team that focuses on providing administrative and excellent customer service to union Laborers and their families. We believe in cross training across departments and promoting within.

The position performs various tasks involved in administering union negotiated fringe benefits (health, vacation, retirement), in accordance with the written plan documents, with a primary focus on the processing of Laborers enrollment and disability in a high paced team environment with a high volume of member interaction. An Enrollment analyst provides excellent customer service on the phone and during member visits; communicates policies, regulations, and benefit information; processes applications and documents; responds to legal inquiries including child support orders; and performs additional duties assigned by a Manager and/or Associate Director of Benefits.

What We Are Looking For
  • One year of prior experience in an employee benefits environment
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish speaking is preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and computer systems and applications
  • Professional communicator, both written and oral, through any channel (voice, letter, email, text)
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and remain calm under pressure
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with attention to accuracy
  • Excellent word and data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Discretion with ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal skills in working with employees, members, and other departments
