Job description

Global Power Components is a privately held manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.
The Multimedia Department is tasked with providing signs, labels, designs, and everything in between for both our facilities and products. As GPC continues to grow steadily, so do the demands for our designers and machine operators.
Multimedia is looking for an individual to design labels for, operate, and perform maintenance upon our medium format plastic engraver machines. This is a full-time position that would also include supporting the department in organizational and light fabrication tasks.
The responsibilities include:
- Using the machine software to create templates for tags
- Operating the machines to ensure tags are cut properly
- Mounting and cutting tags to adhesive backings
- Being proactive in machine maintenance
- Maintaining the general cleanliness of the work area
- Maintaining and organizing the inventory for the company's employee merch line
- Able to assist in fabrication work such as cutting, mounting, or laser cutting when needed
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Confident experience in vector-based software
- Basic knowledge and experience working with printers or CNC-based machinery (plastic or laser-engravers)
- Dedication to precision and strong attention to detail
- Ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines
- Comfortability with repetitive tasks
- Organizational skills for streamlining tasks, inventory management, and keeping an orderly workspace
