What is an engraver?

An engraver is a skilled craftsman who uses various types of groove cutting tools and machines, such as etchers, to create intricate art and designs. Engravers carefully carve beautiful symbols and words on wood, metal, or other materials. Many are self-employed and construct personalized projects for their clients, but others may be hired by specialty shops to engrave designs and sayings on to products.
