Job Description

The Energy Efficiency Program Customer Relations Concierge will be responsible for managing the incoming customer concerns and requests for the energy efficiency program. They will be expected to relay program details, offering and eligibility to any and all inquiries. They will also assist in outreach and administrative capacities to drive customer participation and workforce development. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting energy efficiency initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner
  • Follow communication "scripts" when handling different topics
  • Identify customers' needs, clarify information, research issues, and provide solutions and/or alternatives
  • Seize opportunities to upsell program offerings when they arise
  • Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by taking the extra mile
  • Keep records of all conversations in our call center database in a comprehensible way
  • Represent the programs and drive customer acquisition through community canvassing and event, streets fairs, and tabling opportunities
  • Support the Community Development Outreach Professional in the maintenance of partnerships with community-based organizations, environmental and civic organizations, and local municipalities
  • Assist the Workforce Development Manager in occasional administrative tasks related to workforce strategies and talent pipeline management
  • Attend educational trainings to improve knowledge and performance level as needed
  • Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a customer support role
  • Familiarity with MS Office, particularly excel
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding quota
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
  • Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
  • High school degree
  • Multi-lingual preferred, especially ability to speak Spanish
Work Environment
  • This position may require occasional travel to attend training sessions, meetings, or site visits.
  • The role is primarily office-based with the possibility of remote work arrangements.
