JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: Required: B.S. Degree in Management, Engineering, Business, and 5+ years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs and business development. In lieu of a degree, 9+ years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs and business development. Experience managing vendor performance, and leading cross-functional teams; Energy Efficiency or Electric Vehicle program experience; experience in Business/Customer Relationship Development. Management / leadership experience working with cross-functional teams. Valid US driver's license. Desired: Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification. MBA or Advanced Degree. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Business development (C&I): Develop and manage a commercial and industrial pipeline across the assigned New Jersey territory - prospecting, qualifying, and closing energy-efficiency projects with C&I customers - and progress opportunities through a defined multi-stage sales process in Salesforce / eTrac. Residential support (as needed): Refer residential opportunities encountered in the field into the appropriate residential program pathways. Oversee the performance of vendor(s), both office and field, that have been contracted to deliver program services; manage employee performance; ensure safety protocols and practices are followed. Lead and participate in cross-functional teams, including other CES members, Customer Care, Contracting, Procurement, Legal, Marketing, IT, etc., as required to deliver program services, enhance program delivery / customer experience, and resolve business issues. Develop and maintain program processes. Provide oversight for business controls, process improvement, and compliance. Identify and implement process improvements and automate where possible. Monitor program Key Performance Indicators to ensure program delivery meets business plan expectations and regulatory requirements; prepare and present program and project status reports to customers and management. Advocacy & territory engagement: Serve as a company advocate across the territory, building relationships with community, municipal, and trade-association partners to drive C&I program awareness, and capturing Voice of the Customer feedback and field intelligence for program teams. Assist with special projects as necessary. This leader must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity. Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices.
