Job description

We are seeking an Energy Efficiency Specialist to support our client by conducting in-home energy audits, analyzing HVAC and building systems, and educating homeowners on cost-saving, energy-efficient solutions. This role blends technical diagnostics, customer engagement, and program promotion to drive measurable energy savings.


Duration: 12 months, Full-Time contract (W2)
Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform residential energy assessments (HVAC, insulation, ductwork, windows, appliances).
  • Troubleshoot equipment and recommend efficiency upgrades.
  • Educate customers and promote energy efficiency programs.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams; resolve issues end-to-end.
  • Support community outreach events and storm restoration/logistics efforts.

 
Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3+ years related experience (energy, HVAC, construction, utilities, or field service)
  • Solid communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)

 
Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Energy Auditor Certification
  • 3–5 years advanced experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Consultative sales or regulatory/utility experience

 
Field & Safety Requirements:

  • Must wear PPE: respirator, steel-toe boots, hard hat, eye protection, etc.
  • Climb and carry ladders (25 lbs), work in attics/crawl spaces
  • Lift 25+ lbs, tolerate heat, confined spaces, and may travel up to 100 miles/day if needed
